Discover Central Northern Japan from a different perspective on a guided E-bike journey that blends stunning river landscapes, local food, regional history and powerful cultural heritage.

Beginning in central Asahikawa, this small-group experience follows scenic cycling routes through the Ishikari River corridor toward Kamui Kotan — one of the region’s most dramatic and culturally significant destinations. Along the way, guests will pass through a historic steam train tunnel, learn about the area’s frontier and railway history, experience local agriculture, and take in some of the most memorable scenery in the region.

Discover the Adventure – within the Oroyon River

You’ll venture up the Oroyon River, exploring a stunning natural corridor of flowing water, sculpted rock and dense forest – experiencing the landscape from a completely different perspective. With specialised shoes, a buoyancy vest and helmet, you’ll have the confidence to navigate its exciting features, from flowing sections and natural slides to clear pools along the way.

Ride Through the Story of Asahikawa and Kamui Kotan

Discover the hidden landscapes surrounding Kamui Resort on this guided electric mountain bike adventure. With the assistance of a premium E-MTB, you'll effortlessly explore scenic riverside trails, historic landmarks, and the rich agricultural countryside of Central Hokkaido.

Your journey begins at the Kamui Equipment Rental Centre before following quiet country roads to the spectacular Kamui Kotan Gorge, one of Hokkaido's most important cultural and natural landmarks. Ride through a historic railway tunnel once used by steam trains and enjoy panoramic views of the Ishikari River before continuing into the region's picturesque rice-growing countryside.

The tour finishes with a visit to Mizusawa Orchard, where you'll enjoy a seasonal fruit tasting featuring the freshest produce available at the time of year. Rather than fruit picking, we've chosen a guided tasting experience, allowing you to sample a selection of locally grown fruit while learning about the orchard, its history, and the different varieties grown throughout the seasons.

After taking in the flavours of Hokkaido, you'll enjoy a relaxed ride back to the rental centre, completing a memorable adventure that combines nature, history, culture, and local food.
